About Me
I'm 54 years old, a mother of 3 and a former teacher,SENCO, dyslexia assessor, I worked in education for over 25 years.
I've always been interested in the emotional well being of children and through specialist training in the therapeutic application of the arts which was a foundation stage programme for psychotherapy training in 2003-4, I started on my journey towards gaining greater insight into my own emotional well being.
As perimenopause hit the strategies I had accumulated over a life time in balancing personal needs, family and my career began to unravel. After an initial diagnosis of anxiety at the age of 49 I received my ADHD diagnosis and at 52 discovered I was also Autistic.
I know first hand how transformative it can be to understand yourself in a new light. For me, this journey has been about embracing who I am in all my complexity, and I’m here to help you do the same. I am no longer hostage to anxiety, I prioritise self care and well being and see more opportunities both in my career and personal life now and waiting for me in the future.
I love coaching and joining others on their journeys of self discovery and to shed those layers of overwhelm and confusion. I feel it's a privilege to work in partnership with others in their own journeys of self discovery and reconnecting with a life which feels safe as it does exciting.
I don't believe in quick fixes or anything other than personalised approaches, I know from my own experience how important and valuable that personal connection is.
Whilst we can work through practical challenges, the heart of this work is self-awareness, compassion, and acceptance.
